Power Plate My8 Mat: Home Gym Rubber Mat for the My8

The Power Plate My8 Mat is the training mat Power Plate makes for the My8 vibration platform. We sell it on its own for my 8 owners who need a new one. Unlike rubber floor mats for home gym spaces, it goes under you during exercises, not under the machine.

What Does the My8 Mat Do?

The first two points come from Power Plate’s own description of the mat:

✅ Dampens vibration to suit ability and fitness
✅ Soft padding that keeps exercises comfortable
✅ Genuine part from an authorized dealer

In a shared home, the mat works as an intensity switch. A newer user trains on it while a stronger partner trains without it. Both use the same Power Plate my8, and nobody touches the settings.

A mat changes how a session feels, not who should train on a vibration plate. If you are pregnant or have a pacemaker, recent surgical implants, a retinal condition, or a clotting disorder, ask your physician first.

Is the My8 Mat Right for Your Setup?

Buy it when your my8 needs a mat. It is not an upgrade over the original mat.

Good fit for:

  • my 8 owners with a lost or damaged mat
  • Pre-owned my8 buyers missing the mat
  • Owners who want a spare on hand

Skip it if you are:

  • Ordering a new My8
  • Training at full intensity every session
  • Shopping for a floor exercise mat

Order it for a My8 only: it does not swap with the My5 Mats, Pro5 Series Mat, or Pro8 Mat.

That matters because exchanges cover only defective or damaged items. Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase on undamaged items in original packaging. A 25% restocking fee applies, and you pay return shipping. Anything used beyond testing cannot come back, and canceling before shipment carries a 2.5% fee. Our shipping and returns policy has the full terms.

Owners of other models will find their accessories in our full Power Plate range.

Looking for Rubber Floor Mats Instead?

Floor protection comes from two other products in our range.

What mat goes under a vibration plate? On my 8, it is the my 8 Series Power Shield, a low-profile base made to sit directly underneath the machine. Power Plate pitches it for apartments, offices, and wood floors. Here is how it compares with rubber flooring:

For racks, benches, and cardio zones, browse our rubber flooring rolls and tiles. Buy the Shield for the machine and flooring for the room.

Home Gym Rubber Mat FAQs

How thick should home gym rubber mats be? It depends on the heaviest work on each patch of floor. Use 6mm for cardio and bodyweight work, 8mm for general home training, 12mm under racks and benches, and 3/4" where barbells drop. Thicker rubber guards the subfloor better, so save the heaviest mats for drop zones.

Do rubber floor mats absorb sound? They help. Rubber flooring cuts training noise, and the Power Shield is the piece of power plate that says it minimizes noise to neighboring rooms. The My8 Mat is not sold as a sound fix.

Where can you buy rubber mats for a home gym? Right here. We carry rubber rolls, interlocking tiles, puzzle-mat packs, and heavy 4x6 3/4" mats, and Vortex and Body-Solid flooring ships free. Tiles suit smaller or oddly shaped rooms, while rolls cover large open floors.
