The Free @Zone App Explained

@Zone is Horizon's companion app, and it costs nothing — no subscription, no per-class fee, no premium tier holding the good workouts hostage.

It connects over Bluetooth FTMS, syncs session data to Apple Health, Google Fit, Fitbit, and Strava, and includes Sprint 8 interval training plus Virtual Active scenic courses. One caveat matters: @Zone pairs with select Horizon cardio equipment and is not backwards compatible. Replacing an aging Horizon unit means the app works with the new machine, not the old one.

Do Horizon machines work with Peloton? Yes. Open Bluetooth on the AT-series treadmills runs Peloton, Zwift, and similar apps from your own device. The 7.0 AT adds Apple Watch tap-to-connect. Horizon treadmills are not iFit-enabled, so rule that ecosystem out before you buy.

Is the @Zone app really free? Yes. The download and core workouts carry no subscription. Third-party services like Peloton or Zwift bill separately.

Every Horizon treadmill ships with a lifetime frame and motor warranty, plus parts and labor coverage that varies by model — one year on the T101, longer on several AT-series machines.

Here is the detail almost nobody reads until they need it: if you live more than 150 miles from a Horizon-authorized service provider, Horizon covers the technician's mileage up to 150 miles, and the balance falls to you. Worth measuring that distance before you order if you are rural.
