The Hoist RS-2700 Chin/Dip Assist is a selectorized assisted pull-up dip machine. A counterweighted foot plate lifts part of your bodyweight so you can train chin-ups, pull-ups, and dips with clean form, then switch the same frame to unassisted work as you get stronger.
This station takes a measured slice of your bodyweight off the movement so the rep itself stays honest. You pin the assistance, step on, and train the exact pattern of a chin-up, pull-up, or dip rather than a substitute for it.
That matters because the pull-up is the hardest lift in the building to scale down. A barbell drops to an empty bar. Your bodyweight does not drop at all. Graded assistance is the only way to load the movement below your own weight without turning it into a different exercise.
What muscles does an assisted pull-up dip machine work on? The pulling positions load the lats, mid-back, and biceps. The dip position moves the work to the chest, front deltoids, and triceps. One frame covers both halves of upper-body strength.
Hoist builds it inside the Roc-It Selectorized line, alongside the rest of the selectorized pulling machines we stock. You can see how it sits against the wider Hoist Fitness range before you decide.
Seven of the fourteen published variations run with no assistance at all. That is the number to study hardest, because an assist station is the only machine in a gym you buy hoping to stop needing.
Most competing frames sell a folding pad as a convenience bullet. Very few tell you what the machine is worth on the day your strongest user no longer wants help. Hoist answers it in the specification. The foot plate adjusts between assisted and unassisted positions, the Flip 'N Grip® handles turn to give neutral-grip pull-ups and narrow-grip chin-ups, and a set of rock-climbing handles adds grip work that never touches the stack.
Can you use an assisted pull-up machine without the assistance? On this frame, yes—seven of its listed exercises are built for it.
Choose the RS-2700 if one frame has to serve a beginner and a member who already pulls clean reps.
If nobody in the room needs help yet, a fixed bar costs a fraction of this. Our doorway pull-up bars cover that end of the range instead.
Ask what the stack figure actually describes before you compare two assist machines against each other. Hoist lists the RS-2700 with a weight stack of 380 lbs. (172 kg). The BodyKore GR636 Chin/Dip Assist on this site lists 220 lbs and calls it an assistance stack.
Those are two different labels, and Hoist does not publish the ratio that links plate mass to the help you feel at the handles. Hoist's own assembly documentation numbers the weight plates from 30 lb up to 220 lb, which is not the stack mass printed on the spec sheet. The relationship between the two is not explained anywhere in the published documents.
None of that counts against the machine. It is simply the comparison error that costs buyers most often in this category, because a heavier stack does not automatically mean more assistance available on day one. Confirm the top of the assistance range with our team before you order.

Everything below comes from Hoist's own published documentation for this model.
Check the shipping and returns terms before a frame this size leaves the warehouse. Add the RS-2700 to your cart, or call Hamilton Home Fitness for a tailored quote first.
The honest fit line is narrow, and it has more to do with your floor than your training.
That last point deserves weight. If nobody needs assistance, the money buys a very well-made pull-up bar, and power racks and cages deliver the same bar plus a squat and press station.
Both machines assist the same two movements. They differ on how they hold you and what you pay for the build.
The Hoist stands you on a plate that travels with the rep, which suits users comfortable balancing on their feet. The BodyKore kneels you on a pad, which some users find steadier. Either way, book a quote alongside the rest of your pulling station so the freight ships together. For a lighter budget, the Body-Solid FCD-STK Pro Select Weight Assist Chin-Up Dip sits at $2,130.00.
Does Hoist publish a user weight limit for the RS-2700?
Hoist's parts list specifies a 400 lb weight rating decal fitted to the frame, but the documentation does not define what that rating covers. If a user sits near that figure, confirm the limit with us before ordering.
Does the RS-2700 have to be bolted to the floor?
Yes. The hoist's owner's manual requires the unit to be bolted to the exercise floor using a minimum of 4-1/2" bolts and warns that failure to do so may result in serious injury or death.
What does assembly involve?
Two people, a ratchet wrench with 1/2", 9/16", and 3/4" sockets, an adjustable wrench, a rubber mallet, a tape measure, a level, and an SAE hex key set. Hoist also asks you to check the assembled frame is square and perpendicular.
How long is the warranty?
The supplied specification states only that Hoist warranties the product to the original purchaser against defects in workmanship and materials. It names no length. Contact us for the terms that apply to your setting before you order.
Can you add more weight to the stack later?
No optional add-on weight kit is published for this frame. Several other Roc-It Selectorized stations offer one, so do not assume the upgrade path carries across the line.
Why is Hoist listed as a private invoice only?
The brand runs on a private-invoice basis here, so final pricing, freight, and delivery terms are confirmed with our team rather than settled entirely at checkout.
One frame, fourteen ways to use it, and half of them still work after your members stop needing help. That is what separates a long-term asset from a machine somebody outgrows in a season.
Place your order now, or start a gym design consultation, and we will spec the floor space, anchoring, and delivery access around it. Everything ships nationwide from our Tennessee base, with real people on the phone when you need them.
