BodyKore GR638 Lat Pulldown/Low Row

The BodyKore GR638 Lat Pulldown/Low Row (Isolation Series) is a pin-loaded weight stack (selectorized) lat pulldown low row machine. It combines a lat pulldown and a seated low row in one combo unit. It comes with a 220 lb weight stack. It’s upgradeable to 340 lbs, so you can keep adding strength over time. The frame uses 3.5" oval rolled steel tubing. It is rated for over 1000 lbs. That makes it a strong fit for a serious home gym or a busy facility.

Why this Lat Pulldown Low Row Machine

It fixes one problem: you want rock-solid back training with fast changes and steady body support.

  • 4-position adjustable foam rollers + intuitive foot placement help keep you secure and stable
  • Footrests provide greater stability during exercise
  • Interchangeable seat switches from pulldown to low row
  • Lat bar and low pull handle included
  • The cup/phone/key holder keeps small items off the floor

Built for daily use

A stack-and-pin system makes weight changes quick. That helps when several people share one station. The owner’s manual stresses level placement, optional floor bolting, and routine checks (cables and bolts) to keep the machine safe and smooth.

Lat Pulldown/Low Row Features

How to train on it

You’re covering two key pull patterns: vertical pulls (lat pulldown) and horizontal pulls (seated low row). Here’s a simple rule that works for most lifters. Pull at least as much as you press each week.

Lat pull cues

Pin your thighs under the rollers. Start by pulling your shoulders down, then pull with your elbows. Keep your ribs down. If form breaks, reduce the load and slow the pace.

Low-row cues

Brace your core, plant your feet on the footrests, and row in a smooth line. “Elbows to hips” hits the lats. “Elbows a bit wider” hits more mid-back.

Quick programming

  • Hypertrophy: 3–5 sets, 8–12 reps
  • Strength: 4–6 sets, 5–8 reps
  • Recovery: light, slow, pain-free

Example “Pull Day” (simple)

A common plan in small studios is simple. Do 4×8–10 lat pulldowns (pause 1 second at the bottom). Then do 4×10–12 seated low rows (full stretch, no swing). Finish with 2 lighter sets of 12–15 on the one you need most. With good bracing, you should feel your upper back, lats, and biceps doing the work.

Fast answers people ask

Will the 220lb stack be enough for advanced lifters?
For clean form, higher reps, slow reps, and pauses—yes, for many users. If you train heavy for low reps, plan the 340 lb upgrade so you don’t cap out the stack as you get stronger.

How much space should I plan for safe use?
Use the 69"x49"x94" size as the base, then add space on all sides so you can move safely. The manual also stresses a solid, level surface and enough room for safe operation.

Is it suitable for commercial facilities and wellness rooms?
Yes. The frame is rated over 1000 lbs. The strength warranty covers key parts for years. That matches what facilities want: durability, steady use, and fewer service headaches.
