Body-Solid G6BR Bi-Angular Multi-Station Gym Machine

The Body-Solid G6BR is a single-stack multi station gym machine with six training stations and a 210 lb selectorized stack, upgradable to 260 lb. It covers chest, back, shoulders, arms, legs and core in an 84" L x 58" W footprint, and carries Body-Solid's In-Home Lifetime Warranty.

At $3,365.00, it sits where most serious home buyers land: past the flimsy department-store gyms, below the two-stack commercial systems that cost twice as much.

Six Stations, One 210 lb Stack

The G6BR gives one lifter a complete strength session without touching a barbell. Body-Solid classifies it as a single-stack gym with a total body exercise focus and a commercial application rating.

What is a multi-station gym machine? It is one frame that combines several guided training stations—press, pulldown, row, cable, and leg work—around a shared weight stack, so you move between exercises by changing a seat and a pin instead of changing machines.

That word multi-station trips people up, so here is the honest version: six stations does not mean six people. The G6BR runs on one 210 lb stack, so one person trains at a time. If you want two lifters working simultaneously, you need two stacks, and that is a different machine at a different price.

For a solo lifter, a couple taking turns, or a trainer running one client at a time, a single stack is the smarter buy. You get the station variety without paying for hardware that sits idle.

Bi-Angular Press and Perfect Pec

Two patented systems separate the G6BR from ordinary stack gyms, and both change how the reps actually feel.

The Bi-Angular Press Arms guide you through the optimal natural range of motion while applying resistance from two directions at once. Body-Solid states this multi-directional system produces 25% more muscle interaction by removing the point where your chest muscles get to rest mid-rep. The result is convergent, multi-joint, multi-plane movement—closer to pressing dumbbells than pushing a fixed lever.

The Perfect Pec™ Station uses swivel arms built for both unilateral and bilateral movements, giving you maximum stretch for deep muscle toning and upper body development. A dual-cam design with variable resistance lets each arm operate independently, so a stronger side cannot quietly carry a weaker one.

Ready to see it in your space? Add the G6BR to your cart and lock in today's price.

Every Station and What It Trains

Six stations, one pin, no cable swaps. This is the full exercise list the machine is built to deliver.

  • Perfect Pec Station—swivel arms for upper body exercises
  • Press Arm—Chest Press, Chest Mid-Row, Back Hyperextension, Incline Press
  • High Pulley—Lat Pulldown, Triceps Pressdown
  • Mid Pulley—Resistance Ab Crunch, Triceps Extension, Lateral Fly
  • Low Pulley—Biceps Curl, Seated Row, Oblique Bend, Leg Adduction & Abduction, Upright Row, Lateral Deltoid Raise
  • Leg Developer — Leg Extension, Leg Curl

Two attachments extend it further, both sold separately: the GLP Leg Press/Calf Press Attachment and the GIOT Inner/Outer Thigh Attachment. Read this part carefully before you order—the G6BR has space for only one attachment at a time, GLP or GIOT. Most listings never mention it, and it is the single most common surprise on this machine. If heavy leg pressing matters more than adduction work, choose the GLP and buy accordingly.

Space, Delivery, and Setup

Measure the working area, not the frame. This is where home buyers get caught.

How much space do you need for a multi station gym machine? For the G6BR, plan around the live working area of 85" L x 84" W x 84" H — not the 58" frame width. The extra 26 inches of width is the room your arms and the press handles need mid-rep. A machine that technically fits can still be unusable.

Ceiling height matters just as much. At 84" tall with overhead pulley work, a standard 8-foot basement ceiling is workable but tight, and anything lower will not clear.

Three more practical points before you order:

  • 547 lbs ships by freight. Check the delivery path first—doorway widths, stair turns, and floor protection.
  • Plan a full day and a second person. Machines at this size and weight are a two-person build, and rushing the cable routing is what creates slop later.
  • Cables and pads are the wear items, not the frame. On a Body-Solid stack gym they are replaceable parts, which is why a commercial-rated frame in a home setting stays smooth for years.

If you are training around an existing joint issue or recovering from an injury, check with your physician or physical therapist before starting a new resistance program.

How the G6BR Compares

The choice between these comes down to one question: how many people train at once?

MachineWeight StacksBest FitPrice
Body-Solid G6BROne 210 lb, 260 lb optionSolo lifter wanting six guided stations$3,365.00
Hoist H-2200-MBTwoTwo people training at the same time$6,600.00
BodyKore MTI4001ATwo-stationShared households and light commercial rooms$6,820.00

Is a multi station gym machine worth it? For most home buyers, yes — the G6BR replaces a chest press, lat tower, cable column, row station and leg developer for roughly half the price of the two-stack systems above. If you need genuine simultaneous training, step up to a two-stack multi gym instead of forcing a single stack to do a job it was not built for.

Multi-Station Gym Machine FAQs

Can two people use the G6BR at the same time?
No. The G6BR runs on a single 210 lb stack, so one person trains at a time while the other rests or spots. For simultaneous training, you need a machine with two independent stacks.

Is 210 lb enough resistance for a serious lifter?
For pressing and pulldown work, most home lifters find 210 lb sufficient for years. Body-Solid offers an upgrade to 260 lbs, sold separately, if you outgrow the standard stack.

Can I add both the leg press and the inner/outer thigh attachment?
No. The G6BR has space for one attachment at a time, either the GLP Leg Press/Calf Press or the GIOT Inner/Outer Thigh. Decide which movement pattern matters more to your program before ordering.

How hard is the G6BR to assemble?
Expect a two-person job across several hours. The cable routing is the fiddly part, and taking your time there is what gives you a machine with no slop in the stations later.

Is the G6BR suitable for a light commercial setting?
Yes. It carries a commercial application rating and is covered by Body-Solid's Light Commercial Warranty for non-residential use, with the In-Home Lifetime Warranty applying to home ownership.

Does the G6BR qualify for free shipping?
Yes. Hamilton Home Fitness ships Body-Solid equipment free to all 50 states from our Tennessee base.

What maintenance does a stack gym need?
Very little. Wipe the guide rods, check cable tension and bolt torque a few times a year, and inspect the pads. The bronze bushings are self-lubricating, and the aircraft cables are built for low maintenance.
